Permeable pavers capture storm water and allow it to seep into the ground through a manufacturing process that creates a system of pervious, interconnected voids. Instrumental in recharging groundwater, permeable concrete pavers are an effective means to address important groundwater scarcity and other environmental issues. Furthermore, they support green, sustainable growth by eliminating the need for retention ponds, swales, and other storm water management devices. The use of pervious concrete is among the Best Management Practices (BMPs) recommended by the EPA for the management of storm water runoff.
